How to set up a drop ship Etsy store and never touch inventory
/If you’re looking for a way to make some money from home, I have a tip for you that came from a friend on Instagram. She suggested setting up a drop-ship Etsy shop.
Wait? What does any of that mean? How do I do that? And will I make money??
Here’s how it works. You can create an Etsy shop in just a few minutes and then link your shop to a printer that prints your inventory for you.
For example, you can make posters, t-shirts, journals, coffee mugs, stickers- this list goes on and on, and while they are your designs, you never have to touch inventory, ship it or store it in your home.
So here’s how it works.
Step one: Open up an Etsy shop.
This can be done in just a few minutes. Choose a name, put up a logo (you can make one on Canva or PicMonkey) and write a brief description.
You will need to upload at least one product to your shop. So creat a digital printable or a single item you have on hand to sell so that you can create your payment settings.
Here are some tips for creating digital products to sell.
Step two: Pick a printer
Then link your store to a print on demand printer, I like Printify. But all you have to do is Google “on-demand printer” and several will pop up.
Your printer of choice will have its own system for linking your shop. Follow their instructions to get started.
Step three: Stock your shop
Design some graphics using Canva or PicMonkey and put them on a mug or t-shirt.
Publish your designs to your shop.
Once your items are published to your shop you are open and ready for business.
It’s really that easy. I walked through the steps myself to see if it worked and it did. I have a shop that is not open for business yet, but when it does I’ll let you know because I have some cute surprises in store.
