Has anyone looked at Pinterest lately for stocking stuffers? Umm… what’s up with those posts? Those stockings cost more than my monthly mortgage payment. I saw one with AirPods, a camera and some LEGO. When did stockings become gift 2.0? Today I am going to share practical ideas that are budget-friendly but also aren’t junk.
Snacks. Snacks are fun and they don’t clutter up the floor. My friend (who happens to be my kid’s piano teacher) said she gives her kids things she doesn’t normally buy them like pop tarts and microwave Mac and cheese
Beef jerky I put this in the sock exchange we do for my nieces and nephew and my nephew always loves it.
A night light or flashlight. My kids have this projection nightlight that an aunt gave them and they love it.
New undies. Okay I know this isn’t exciting, but my kids are still young and get excited about character underwear. But if your kids need new undies, socks or other basic soft lines, put them in their stockings.
Body wash
A new ornament. Each you give your child a new ornament to put on the family tree. Then when they leave home they have a tree full of ornaments to start their new life. (Be sure to write names on them)
Ponytail holders, scrunchies and bobby pins. They always get lost and need replacing
Hot chocolate or other drink mixes
Phone charger. cable protector
Manicure kit
Booklight I really like this one
Flair pens are my favorite. They don’t bleed through the paper.
