Upcycled Bath and Bodyworks Candle Jar

If you're anything like me you have about 800 bath and body works candle jars at your house. Okay, that's a slight exaggeration. But I do have a lot of candle jars with just an inch of wax in the bottom. I thought, why not turn those jars into something cute and functional I could use in my home.

So last week I took five minutes, literally, and made these adorable pedestaled apothecary jars.

They require just a few things you might already have around your house and take just seconds to put together.

You will need an old candle jar with the lid

a drawer knob

a candlestick

super glue

I picked up  the glue I used at the Dollar Tree and I was really surprised at the quality of the glue. It was a gel, easy to clean and did its job.

Also, the candle stick holders I got free on Craigslist. Seriously. Go to the free section of your Craigslist and look for "curb alert." You can find amazing things there!

To get any remaining wax out of the jar you can either use a candle warmer and melt the remaining wax and then wash the jar. Or you can put the jar in the freezer, pop the wax out and wash.

Simply glue the jar to the candlestick and let sit for a little while.

Glue your knob to the lid and also let that sit for a little while.

That's it! You're done.

These are perfect for storing things like hair ties, cotton balls, essential oils, lipstick the list goes on and on.

What about you? Do you have a 5 minute DIY?
