So many of you may be finding yourself schooling from home this year. Maybe you’re choosing the virtual school route or an online program. Or maybe you’re full-on homeschooling.
Today I wanted to offer you some tips.
Summer is a great time to squeeze in extra reading. We are big readers here, but something about the long, lazy days of summer just calls for a good and exciting book.
I thought I would share some of what is on my kids’ reading list. They will read other books, in fact I have a hard time keeping up with my oldest son and his demand for new library books.
But here are some fun ones we are reading together.
My kids love to do artwork. And they’re pretty lucky because I’m a mom who doesn’t mind a mess. I decided to try my hand at art camp at home. I ran to the dollar store and picked up a bunch of supplies that were a dollar each, including brushes, small pallets for paint and various size canvases. The paint we used this week I already had at home. We did camp over the course of 4 days.
We love scouring the internet together to come up with LEGO build ideas and my oldest son and I put together this 30 Days of Lego Build ideas for you!
I know things might feel a little tense and uncertain right now. I first want to say, hang in there. Deep breaths. It’s going to be okay.
I also know that many schools are closed and parents are looking for ways to keep kids in some sort of routine. As a homeschool mom, I have experience with this and I wanted to share a HUGE list of free resources.
Today I wanted to talk about our pre-k at home routine, what life is like schooling at home, why we made the decision and some of the tools we use.
Today I am showing you how I turned my junky dining room into a dream homeschooling corner.
